Markup for Interactive Components

Intro

This week you’ll reconvene with your stakeholder to check in on the state of the redesign and discuss the ways in which it is and is not meeting their goals in terms of audience, messaging, and usability. On the techincal side, we’ll discuss strategies for implementing three navigational components: hamburger menus, accordions, and tabs.

Sync Up

• Meet with your stakeholder to assess progress and get final directional feedback.
• Consider using this Less-based template rather than the Sass-based project
• Interface Components
  • Showing one section at a time on a single page using tabs to switch between them
  • Collapsing nav bars into hamburger menus to fit in narrow viewports
  • Making sections expandable and collapsable with accordions
• Discuss general issues & concerns with Project 4

Activities

• Read about error 404 pages
• Continue to work on Project 4
  • Begin working on step 6 in the Develop setion
  • Add markup for any of the interface components we discussed, being sure to carry over the class names and CSS (if any) from the sample code.
